~'The struggle you're facing today is building the strength you need for tomorrow!'~
The recent weeks have presented significant health challenges for me as a Lupus patient. I've combated Covid, suffered through a severe kidney infection that wreaked havoc on my body, and, as if that weren't enough, I developed jaundice from liver complications. Additionally, my ophthalmologist informed me that I have legal blindness caused by retinal damage from taking big pharma meds for all those horrible years. Despite these hardships, my spirit remains unbroken; I am determined to 'thrive'! My joy will not be diminished by illness!
The recent diagnosis has left me contemplating the possibility of complete blindness. At this moment, I cannot provide an answer; it's been only a few days, and I'm still coming to terms with the news and the gravity of that question. However, I am aware that I must learn to identify items like shampoo from conditioner, soap from lotion, and laundry detergent from fabric softener. While these tasks might seem minor or even laughable to some, I faced this challenge years ago when I was blind for six months. Distinguishing between items was a significant hurdle, so indeed, 'distinguishing' is vital. More updates to come, believe that. In the meantime, I ask for your prayers as I navigate and persevere through this diagnosis.
As we frequently emphasize on 520Aftermath, it's important to avoid negative speech. Rather than declaring "I'm sick," affirm "I'm healing!" Reflect on this: words, ranging from those spoken in anger to those whispered in love, possess immense power and profoundly shape our emotions and thoughts. As previously stated, "I will 'thrive' through..." I am committed to rejecting negative thoughts, feelings, and words. No somber diagnosis will quell my spirit! Words are indeed powerful. 'Thriving' is my chosen mantra, and I will steadfastly hold onto my faith, believing that everything occurs for a purpose.
~Don't forget, Nov. 3rd, time changes! We 'fall back,' lol, I know, I hate it too, lol!~
