Finding Grace in a Frustrating Moment
This Christmas, we had an experience that caught us off guard and tested our faith and hearts. A Christmas card that was sent to us, originally containing a Texas Roadhouse gift card and money, arrived empty. It had been opened and resealed before we got it. Naturally, our first reaction was anger, and in the heat of the moment, we said things we shouldn’t have...like hoping the person who stole it would face horrible consequences.
But as we reflected, we realized something important: forgiveness matters more than our frustration. We don’t know the circumstances of the person who took it, but we do know this...G-d calls us to forgive, just as HE forgives us. Maybe they needed it more than we did, and even if they didn’t, grace is always the better path.
The moral of the story? When life challenges you, don’t let anger take root. Take a breath, lean on faith, and choose love over bitterness. We’re grateful for this reminder to let go and let G-d!
Wishing you all peace, happiness and forgiveness.
